Vancouver library square | vancouver, bC
This decorative water wall is a unique and interesting feature of Library Square, a large-scale, urban public space in downtown Vancouver.
It was one of the largest projects developed by the city and is home to the Vancouver Public Library, federal government offices and retail stores. The "Fountain of Time" water feature was designed by Vancouver ceramic artist Joseph Montague and was one of the first works completed under Vancouver's public art program.
A water wall that has been arranged and detailed to represent the scales of a fish flows into a pool that blends concrete, ceramics and stone to form a montage in the shape of an ancient clock.
