Celebrating 40 Years of Water Inspired Design with Vincent Helton & Associates

As a leading water feature design consultant in the Pacific Northwest, we at Vincent Helton & Associates recently celebrated our 40th anniversary. Established in 1983 by Mr. Vincent Helton, our multi-disciplinary team has been designing beautiful, long-lasting and sustainability-minded water features with collaboration from highly-regarded architects, landscape architects, developers, government organizations, and public institutions across North America and around the globe. 

Our firm's first major highlight was the Canadian Pavilion of the World Expo 92, situated in Seville, Spain. The Pavilion's grand pool, with a glass stage at its center, attracted over 41 million people during its first 6 months of being inaugurated.

After that, we continue to integrate water features into private properties and public spaces in a way that seamlessly aligns with the site's natural and architectural design. In fact, over the past four decades, we have completed over 1,000 water feature projects ranging from commercial and residential developments to public parks, civic and institutional spaces, as well as academic and corporate campuses.

Recognized as an essential part of modern landscape architectural design, our projects have received numerous awards, including the CSLA National Award of Excellence, the ASLA Honor Award, the SCUP Honor Award for Excellence in Landscape Design, and many more. We are also featured in several publications such as Canadian Architect, Architectural Record, and International Property & Travel Magazine.

Today, our team continues to create new designs and innovative technologies that allow the projects to optimize water and energy consumption. Our firm's commitment to sustainable design also reduces waste and maintenance requirements through optimized architectural and mechanical design, recycling water from the natural environment using techniques such as rainwater harvesting, and respecting water for its essential value and aesthetic possibilities.
