david lam park | vancouver, bC
This public water feature adds form and function to David Lam Park, a stunning and expansive downtown recreation space with views of False Creek and Yaletown.
The west side of the park houses two sweeping twenty foot long waterfalls that add visual interest and a natural soundscape. These waterfalls also cleverly dress the outer structure for the Dedicated Fire Protection System at False Creek Pump Station.
Flanked by staircases leading to an elevated gathering point, park visitors can explore the waterfalls from top to bottom. On warm days the mist from the waterfalls offers a cooling effect to nearby park visitors, and the surrounding gardens.
